Corporate version
It is now 2005 and you work for a
major consulting firm.
Your
boss tells you that a big client needs to find the maximum value of the
function
for values of x, y and z all between 0 and 10 (inclusive). You do
not have to find the values for x, y and z exactly, but you
do need to find them to within 0.01. Also, you do not need to ask
why the client needs the values which maximize this
function since you are still a low level consultant. After 10
years of diligent effort and 80 hour work weeks, you may be
allowed to attend the meetings with the client which will make you
privy to such privileged corporate information.
Some old code is available that may be
modified to solve this problem. To run the code as it is, you
will also need three more files.
