Reading: Up through the end of the course you are responsible for all the material in Chapters 6 - 10 except 9.4, 9.7.2 and 10.1.

Exercises:

1. 10.14 number 1 only. You may verify the answer in matlab, but you must do the design by hand, i.e., sketch the root locus by hand and determine the gain by hand. For the step response, you may use matlab or simulink.
2. 10.15 number 3 only. Same rules as the first problem. You may use matlab to iterate on the design, but for the final design you must verify all computations by hand. Also sketch the regions where the poles must be to satisfy the time domain specifications.
3. 10.16 for number 3 from 10.15 only.
4. 9.26
5. 9.28

For the Bode plot problems, you may want to wait until after Monday's class.
