Reading: 8.1-8.4

Exercises: 7.14, 8.3 (numbers 10 and 11 only), 8.6 (number 2 only) and 8.9. Also redo system identification problem from homework 3. VERIFY YOUR ANSWER by solving the system (numerically is fine) using the parameter values you determined and see if it matches the graph in the problem. Verifying that your answer matches the problem and makes sense is part of good engineering practice.

Professor, on the project problem, I am having difficulty understanding the wording. When is f(t) zero? Is that only when t is less then zero and when t = 1, or also when t = 0?
Thanks

No, there was a typo in there originally. f is zero when t<0 and is one when t>0 (not t>1, which is a typo).
