For the following nonlinearities:
  1. saturation;
  2. deadzone;
  3. backlash;
  4. hysteresis;
  5. change of slope where k2>k1 (from class on 3.19);
for a second and third order plant (make up your own) determine the range of gain values under unity feedback where a describing function analysis would predict the existence of limit cycle solutions. Use the plot to predict the frequency and magnitude of the limit cycle and verify it numerically. You may use simulink for all but one of the cases. For one case where there is a limit cycle (your choice) verify it by writing out the system in the time domain and using a numerical solver like ode45() or your own program, to determine a numerical solution.
