The following are copies of previous exams from this course:Note that the coverage in previous versions of this course may have been slightly different than this year.

Some of these may have solutions included. If solutions are not they are not available.

I consider it part of properly preparing for the exam for you to be able to determine whether or not a particular problem on one of these exams is part of the material that will be covered this semester. Hence, if it is not obvious to you whether or not a particular problem on one of these example exams is of a type you should be able to do, you should review your notes. Please do not ask me questions of the nature "Do we have to know how to do problems like number x on the previous exam?"

How are you supposed to solve number 1 section 3.6 (exercises) of the course notes. I'm tryin to solve it using exact but I'm ont sure that I'm doing it right.

I think the easiest way is to use the integrating factor method (as it's called in B&D, section 2.1) or VoP for first order equations (as I call it). If you divide by t you can make it look like eqn. 2.15 (in the course notes, not B&D). Note that the equation is linear, but with variable coeffiients.
